We have talked a lot this week about the negativity that seemed to surround Boise State's bid in the March Madness tournament. Fans believed the team deserved to be placed in a better position--but results from their play-in game proved otherwise.

Breaking an NCAA record, Boise State is now 0-10 all time in March Madness appearances and many basketball fans are saying 'we told you so'. Clearly, Boise State needs to start winning in March to get the respect that many feel they deserve.

Let's be clear: it was a great season and there's no taking that away from the team.

These moments always bring out 'the trolls' if you will.

A rather popular and controversial figure, Dave Portnoy, had a tweet that made the rounds online last night shortly after Boise State went down in Dayton, Ohio.

We'll warn you now--his words towards Boise State after dropping their play-in game to the University of Colorado were harsh (and explicit)...

Do you think that the Broncos deserved this kind of tweet!? Of course, it didn't take long for other Boise State 'haters' to chime in with their two cents on the game:

There's always next year, y'all!

While to our knowledge, Portnoy has never been to Boise, he did send some Barstool representatives to Boise not long ago to check out what they called the 'raunchiest' bar in Boise. Really? Take a look back, below:

Is This Boise Bar Really Idaho's 'Raunchiest'?

If we to describe this downtown Boise bar that was recently featured by Barstool Sports, the word "raunchy" really wouldn't even come to mind. The bar, home to many fun nights and a safe space for everyone, is just another place that makes Boise so special.
As featured by Barstool Sports, however, the internet just can't get enough of THIS popular nightlife destination...

Boise State's Most Underappreciated Star

Boise State seems to mean "football" for most, right? On a national stage, after all, it's the blue turf and the success that the Broncos have had on it that made the university a household name. What happens on the hardwood, however, is far from appreciated at the level that it should be. Leon Rice came to Boise State as a blessing from one of the most powerful basketball programs in the nation: Gonzaga University. Now, the winningest basketball coach in the history of the school seems to take immediate heat if the Broncos aren't in the Final Four. Spoiled by wins on the football field, fans seem to expect the same of the basketball program but when the investment in basketball is so much less than football--can you really have these types of expectations!?
