Man Arrested for Car Burglaries at BSU
This guy could be going away for a looooong time.
A concerned citizen is to thank for catching a burglar at the Boise State Campus. According to KTVB, police received a call at about 11p on Saturday regarding a car burglary in the Lincoln parking garage at BSU.
When cops arrived, 23-year-old, Brett Alexander Rodgers was being detained by Boise State security. After searching the garage, police found evidence the man had broken into 23 vehicles in the garage.
"This is a great example of a citizen noticing something strange and reporting it to police," Gallas said in a statement. "Because of that alert citizen, we were able to quickly identify a suspect and recover the stolen property. The Boise Police Department worked together with the Boise State Department of Public Safety and Boise State's Facilities and Operations Management to arrest the suspect and take additional steps to make sure the victims' vehicles were safe in the garage."
Rodgers could be doing some serious time for his crimes. If convicted for all 23 charges of burglary, he could face up to ten years in prison for each count.
