Meridian Road from Ustick to McMillan is completely blocked off right now while authorities are currently taking suspects and witnesses of the overnight Boise shooting into custody.  The shooting left 19-year-old Briana Martinez dead and another man and woman in the hospital.

According to KTVB, Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea stated that they believed a number of people involved in the shooting including those that actually pulled the trigger were holding up in a home on Lezana Street across from Settlers Park.  Here's a statement from Basterrechea...

They were able to surround the house, set up a perimeter.  At that point, we started hailing four people to come out of the residence. So far we have had five  people exit the residence, some of which we do believe were involved in that shooting last night, as well as some people who we believe were just witnesses.

We have no idea at this point if police are looking for more people that were involved or if they're just going through the evidence and this home in great detail.  We do know that this area of Meridian will not be open for quite some time.
