Heads up! More WNV has been found in Ada County

The Ada County Mosquito Abatement District has confirmed West Nile Virus (WNV) in mosquito populations near West Ten Mile Creek and South Cole Road.

If you live in the area, or visit there, make sure you are taking the proper precautions to avoid mosquito bites by practicing the 3 D's if your fight against bites.

DEFEND by using DEET or other EPA-approved mosquito repellent to protect uncovered skin.

DRAIN all standing water from objects on your property that may serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

DRESS appropriately by wearing light-colored, loose-fitting, longed-sleeves shirts and pants.

Be safe and try to make it through the remaining months of mosquito weather!
