Mother Of Maggot Infested Baby Gets Life In Prison

21-year-old Cheyanne Harris of Chickasaw County, Iowa will never see the world again as a free woman.  She's been handed a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the brutal murder of her 4-month-old son Sterling Koehn.  The father had already been sentenced to life for the same crime but Cheyanne's punishment was just handed out.

This tragedy is NOT for the faint of heart.  It's difficult to read.  It's hard for me to look at this young woman's face.  There's so much anger built up inside me when this type of ugliness surfaces and reminds us all that there is truly good and EVIL on this earth.

According to Idaho News, Harris basically neglected her son so badly he died.  He died sitting in a baby swing of starvation, malnutrition, dehydration and an E. coli infection.  He then was left to rot in that baby swing while maggots consumed his body.  Authorities that found Sterling said this was by far the most awful sight they'd come across in all their years in law enforcement.

Many have been screaming for the 'Death Penalty' in this case but Cheyanne has somehow escaped that fate and instead will remain behind bars for the remainder of her life, which is a long time considering she's 21-years-old.

My heart goes out to this poor, little child who suffered so much.  I know God has his arms wrapped around Sterling right now.  The suffering is gone for him.  For those of us left behind, there's not much more than sorrow, rage, and questions.  God bless you, Sterling.  Rest in peace.
