My Favorite ACM Moments

I love watching the ACM Awards, I feel like I have a small part in the industry working in Country Radio. These were my favorite moments for the 50th Anniversary.

To start off I absolutely love Keith Urban's new song featuring Eric Church, Raise Em' Up so I was pleasantly surprised when they opened the show together singing Eric's “Pledge Allegiance to the Hag" as a tribute to Merle Haggard. I'd say they started the award show with a bang! I did enjoy Keith's blistering guitar solo- just sayin'.

Even though Taylor Swift decided to expand her wings and try her hand at a pop album she hasn't left her country roots. I was touched by the tribute she received- a Milestone Award, presented for being the youngest-ever ACM Entertainer of the Year. Recently Taylor took to Twitter that her mother had been diagnosed with cancer. I can't even imagine what that moment meant to both of them as her mother presented Taylor with the award. What an emotional experience.
