N. Idaho Teen Goes Missing after Prom
The 17-year-old has not been seen or heard of since Saturday.
UPDATE: The 17-year-old missing teen, Kristian Perez has been found safe. A tip led authorities to a home in Orofino that belongs to 26-year-old Tyson Imel. According to KTVB, Perez was taken into custody on a runaway charge, and police say Imel may also face charges for helping Perez.
Prom is a special day in a teenager's life. But for one family in Orofino, ID, prom has become a nightmare.
Seventeen-year-old Kristian Perez, was last seen at his school's prom at the National Guard Armory in Orofino. Investigators did confirm that Perez signed out of the prom at 9:32 p.m.
According to KTVB, one of his shoes, his tuxedo jacket, and his broken phone were all found near the car that transported him to the prom-which belonged to a relative.
Orofinio Police used a canine to try and track Perez, the trail went cold at a parking lot along highway 12. Police believe he got into another car at that location.
Perez was believed to be spotted in Lewiston and authorities are investigating. If you have any information call Orofino Police at 208-476-5551.
