Parents and students have been protesting the decision.

According to KTVB, the Nampa School district has rescinded the job offer of Coach James Daye due to "a lot of things" that the Nampa School District Director of Communication, Kathleen Tuck says, "put us in a position where we had to withdraw that offer."

Those "things" seem to be allegations of a sexual relations with a female student while he was a teacher and coach at a school in Greenville, South Carolina in the early 1990's.

Nampa School District says they followed protocol when hiring Daye and have re-opened the position to find a coach for the fall season.

Some parents and student though, are not happy about the District's decision, protesting and even claiming the race of the coach may be a factor in the decision.
