In May of 2017, Fyre Festival was revealed to be a giant scam. The scam left investors, contractors, and customers close to $26 million dollars out of pocket. In an attempt to recoup some of these losses, the United States Marshal's Service is selling off two boxes of original Fyre Festival merchandise.

In an email received by Vulture, a spokes person from the US Marshal's Service said that, "We have an assortment of the ‘real thing’ Fyre Festival-branded tee-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, wristbands, and medallions."

The clothing in the boxes were appraised and thoroughly logged to avoid any fakes or counterfeits. In all likelihood it seems that all the items were found to be authentic which is why they are now being treated to an online auction - though the date has not been set yet. All the proceeds from this auction will be redistributed to the victims of this major scam.

So, while you're surely counting the days to look at the merchandise, you'll have to wait until the auction goes live. In the meantime, there are plenty of photos of unofficial Fyre Festival merchandise all over the internet that you can look at.
