The new traffic flows on State St will change the way you turn.

According to the Idaho Statesman, upgrades are coming to the State St and Veterans Memorial Parkway / 36th Street intersection.

If you've ever tried to make a left from State St on to either of those streets, you know, its such a pain. It takes forever!!

That could be changing soon. The Ada County Highway district says that area will soon be transformed into a "thU turn", also known as a "median U-turn", or "Michigan Left".

The concept-according to the Idaho Statesman:

Drivers along State will continue through the intersection, make a U-turn down the block, then head back toward the intersection and and make what becomes instead a right turn.

Left-turning traffic will remain unchanged in the north/south lanes.
