Let's be honest with ourselves right now: there's some tension in the air throughout our country. We've all seen what unraveled during protests in different parts of the country, and there is a lot of focus on the situation with Iran and Israel.

Everyone is watching and waiting to basically see who will blink first.

Are We Approaching World War III?

To put it simply, there is a lot of finger-pointing going on around the world. Tensions are high, and there is even some chatter about who will nuke who first.

If I can be candid for a moment, I have to admit it's surreal even typing about who will nuke who. It's probably surreal for a lot of people, and while the idea isn't foreign to any of us, thanks to movies, shows, etc... it's still a real, legitimate possibility.

Which Areas In The US Are Targets For Being Nuked?

No one likes to live in fear, and we definitely don't enjoy sharing the possibility of bad news, but if it were to happen, it can affect any and all of us.

We wanted to see which areas around the country would be the most likely to be nuked and to our surprise, Idaho is next door to a likely target in Montana.

Why Montana?

According to Scientific American, there are missile field locations in Montana and other parts of the country that experts believe would be prime targets for a nuclear attack.

Even scarier is the potential of fallout upon impacting those missile silos, which as you can, smothers Idaho in nuclear fallout.

"When you're attacking a missile silo with a nuclear weapon, you're essentially blowing up the ground creating those gigantic mushroom clouds which carry radioactivity of the nuclear explosions itself," says Sebastien Philippe, Research Scholar at Princeton University.

"These mushroom clouds get dispersed by the local winds, a lot of that radioactivity gets pushed by winds that have much higher speeds than what you experience on the ground. So that large amount of radioactivity gets dispersed over hundreds of miles."

For now, all we can do is hope and pray that we're not attacked in any form or fashion. Even if you have a bunker and are prepped, it still doesn't sound like fun.
