In my mission to experience all Idaho has to offer, I decided to finally check out some awesome hot springs, and although the experience was amazing, it didn't end so well...

So, it's about a 30 minute drive out past Horshoe Bend to get to these Skinnydipper Hot Springs (yes it was "bare" country); the drive was easy. Then we had a 15 minute hike-not so easy-but once we got to the spot it was pretty breathtaking (the hike literally was breathtaking, ugh).

There are signs all over the place that the hot springs are open sunrise to sunset, so we thought okay sun sets pretty late we're totally fine....WRONG!

As we're hiking back down, we see a sheriff fly by the road below, and we started running to my car hoping he'd let us off with a warning....WRONG! Apparently they are very strict about the whole sunset thing-not only are the springs closed but our cars have to be outta there by sunset too :(. So we got a citation and it totally dampened the mood...but it was worth it :D

*If you're planning a trip up, consider yourself warned.
