A new biogas facility could bring dozens of new jobs to the Parma area, but residents are pushing back.

"Project Big" is a proposal to build a facility in Parma that would create biogas out of cow manure and commercial biowaste.

But residents of the small town are not showing much support.

According to KTVB, Butch Wilkins -who owns land in Parma- says, "This is prime farm area, we don't need to give up anymore farmland at all to put in something like this."

If the project moves forward, it can take up to 18 months to complete and could create about 70 new jobs in the area.
