It didn't take long for the community to come to the rescue along Harrison Boulevard here in Boise. Let's be honest, though--it never really does in this town. Whenever there is a need or cause, the good folks of the Treasure Valley come together and Friday's instance was no exception.


It didn't take long at all--in fact, only a few hours--for the community to start pulling up to Harrison Boulevard to replace the flags.  In fact, the news broke around 10:30 in the morning on Friday any by 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon, the flags had been restored. What an amazing out pouring of love.  It was so powerful to see neighbors and community members pulling up with their own flags and ladders to replace what had been stolen. 

One of our great friends around 103.5 KISS FM and member of the Boise Pride Board of Directors Joe Kibbie was available for quick comment with the Idaho Statesman--you can see that, below:  

According to news reports, Boise Police officers were quickly able to locate 18-year-old Gage Burlile and book him into the Ada County Jail for misdemeanor petit theft.
