Record-Breaking Barrel Race at CNR

The previous record was set almost 20 years ago!

A big congratulations goes out to Stevi HIllman. She's the barrel racer from Texas who set a new arena record at the Caldwell Night Rodeo.

According to MontanaSports.com, Stevi and her horse, Sharpie, were one of 78 participants in Tuesday's events at CNR.

After placing second earlier in the day, they had their next run which came in at a record-breaking 16.68 seconds, the new arena record for CNR. That put her at the top of the overall standings, and according to MontanaSports.com, she's now a favorite to take the championship on Saturday night.

The previous record was set by  Mary Aller in 1998.
