One person is in custody.

According to KTVB, the Boise Police Department was called to a residence near Ustick and McKinley in Boise after reports of shots fired.

Officers went to perform a welfare check at about 9:30 this morning, and several hours later, one person was detained. Police have not released any further information - nor has there been a confirmation of actual shots being fired.

According to KTVB, hree schools - Morley Nelson Elementary, Fairmont Junior High and Mountain View Elementary - were put on lockdown for about 12 minutes. Boise School District spokesman Dan Hollar said the schools are safe and secure, and classes are going on as scheduled.
