I just camped and paddle boarded Red Fish Lake right under the Sawtooths a few of weeks ago in Stanely. The jagged wind shaped sharp points are impressive and an incredible sight. What Katy Murphree and a friend saw was even more impressive and they caught it on video.

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake Friday night near Stanley. They have had a ton of quakes in the area since the big on in March. Shortly after the earthquake was felt in town a rock slide occurred on the Sawtooths.

Experienced something pretty crazy while camping in the backcountry Friday night. So glad no one was injured. Talk about dinner and a show!

No one was injured even though, as to be expected this time of year, there were multiple people camping beneath the slide but it slowed down before it got to the bottom where they were and no one was injured. The area that the rock slide happened has been identified as Baron Spire.
