Just in time for tax season, the scammers come out to play. Here's what to watch out for.

The IRS is warning people to watch for suspicious emails claiming to be from the IRS. The emails ask about filing status, personal information, ordering transcripts and verifying PIN information.

DO NOT RESPOND!! The IRS says its a ploy for scammers to create false tax returns. Some emails even contain a link, in many cases, if you click on it....your computer could become infected with malware and scammers can then have access to your files and documents!

If you receive any of these weird emails, you can report them by forward it to phishing@irs.gov.
