Wedding season is just around the corner. If you've got that ring on your finger you are well on your way to planning that dream day and the perfect date is crucial. Make sure you aren't tying the knot on the following days.

I learned this lesson the hard way. I got married in May. I wanted an outdoor wedding but my Mother was wise and she warned me that it often rains in May and an outdoor wedding would be risky. She was right. It was drizzly and cold on my wedding day. Luckily, we planned to have the ceremony and reception inside, but pictures were met with cold, wind, and rain. My nose is red in every picture and 15 years later my marriage ended in divorce. Take this stuff seriously folks!

Zizly, our mid-day Mama, learned the hard way too. She scheduled her wedding on the same day as the Thomas Rhett concert and several people didn't go because they chose the concert over her wedding!

p.s. I got some of this info from Martha Stewart and you know she's the queen of weddings and events!

    February 3, 2019

If this is your wedding day, you may regret it. It's Superbowl Sunday and you know how much the people of Boise love their football. Don't be surprised if a lot of your guests are late or don't show up at all because they are watching the big game!

    March 17th through April 8th 2019

You've got two things going against you here. First, you've got St. Patty's Day on the 17th. We love our beer here in Boise and any excuse to drink it, we'll take it. Plus March 19th through April 8th is March Madness. BSU basketball sits 3-3 right now, so it's not looking good for them to be a part of this, but still, you'll have a lot of people watching basketball instead of going to your wedding.

    September 13th and December 13th

We tend to be a little superstitious here in the Treasure Valley. We have a lot of creepy stories to tell like the tale of the Boise Murder House and our very own "Jack the Ripper" at the Idaho State Penn, so we don't need to mess with bad luck and both of these 13th dates land on a Friday!

    October 31, 2019 - Halloween

As an adult maybe you aren't into Halloween or maybe you even think it would be cool to get married on this date because you are into the super scary, but take into consideration that parents with small children will probably be taking their kid's trick-or-treating down Harrison Blvd. instead of attending your wedding.
