The Trailing Of The Sheep Festival is coming in October! Yes, it's a real thing, and it includes the "Big Sheep Parade!"
It's no secret there are a lot of people who raise sheep in Idaho. So many, in fact, that every year they have a big...check that....HUGE....festival in the Sun Valley area! The "Trailing of the Sheep Festival" will be held in Sun Valley, October 4 - 8, 2017.
It's the 21st year for the festival, which features all kinds of activities like the "Big Sheep Parade" but there is much more going on in the days before the trailing...Sheep Folklife Fair, Sheep Tales Gathering, Sheepherders' Ball, sheep dog trials, workshops, exhibits, lamb fest, picnic, and much more....
It looks like a lot of fun, and could make for an awesome fall getaway weekend!
