This one hits close to home.

You hear of accidents on I-84 all the time, but sometimes it involves someone you know.

Yesterday two people from Nampa were driving westbound on I-84 in Peyette County when a tire blew on their 1949 Willey's pickup. The driver lost control of the truck, swerved and hit a guardrail. The two were ejected from the vehicle.

The driver, is a friend of mine named Sarah Daniel. The passenger is 36-year-old Dustin C. France.

Daniel was airlifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, while France was taken to the same hospital by ground ambulance.

Days like today are a reminder of how precious and fragile life is. Just Friday, some friends, including Sarah, were hanging out at Cowgirls enjoying life and each other's company.

Sending all our thoughts and prayers their way. Hug your loved ones a little tighter today.
