There is nothing so full of awe, wonder, and hope than that of a butterfly. Now you can visit a whole "forest" full of butterflies that you won't see anywhere else and it's right here in Idaho.

About 4 hours east of the Treasure Valley in Pingree, Idaho is a place called The Butterfly Haven, the largest butterfly house in the state.

Inside The Butterfly Haven, you'll find around 400 butterflies, all of which are species of Idaho according to onlyinyourstate.com.

The Butterfly Haven just opened for the season this month. If you want to take the family, entry fees are $9 for adults and $7 for kids. In my mind, this is money well spent. We've raised butterflies a couple of different times and watching them transform from caterpillar to butterfly is magical and magnificent, to say the least.

If you don't think you'll be visiting Pingree anytime soon, you can also catch a greenhouse full of butterflies at Zoo Boise between June 1st and Labor Day. This was our experience at Butterflies in Bloom at Zoo Boise when we went a couple of years ago. Take the kids to see the butterflies!
