WARNING: Idaho Amazon Shoppers Need To Double-Check Their Orders

2024 has been a memorable year for many reasons and now, we're about to witness another landmark moment in a year that's been full of them.

However, this might be the worst news for the holiday season yet and one that could cause some headaches for Idaho Amazon shoppers.

Are Amazon Orders In Trouble?

According to a variety of sources including CNN, The Guardian, Vice, and more, a major strike is planned at multiple Amazon facilities.

"Members of the Teamsters union have voted to authorize a strike at three Amazon facilities, including at the Staten Island, New York, warehouse which became the first location where employees voted to join a union in 2022," a CNN report revealed.

According to a statement from the Teamsters' official site, however, they claim they are working with 10 facilities around the country.

Amazon is currently one of the largest private-sector employers in the world and the second largest in America.

“Amazon Teamsters are ready to strike. They are being left with no other choice,” said Vincent Perrone, President of Local 804 in the official statement.

“These Amazon workers have the full weight of our union supporting them.”

Apparently, the deadline for the Teamsters and Amazon to reach a deal was on December 15th. According to multiple reports, Amazon doesn't appear to recognize the Teamsters as officially representing their employees.

We all know that the Treasure Valley is home to Amazon warehouse and one has to wonder how this potential strike that could begin as soon as Thursday, December 19th could affect Idaho during one of the busiest times of the year for Amazon.
