The Baby Website says we, as parents, lie to our kids an average of 3,000 times while they're growing up.  What?  Lie to my kids!  No, no, no, no, no.  Not me.  Right?  Wrong!

White lies are not only ok... they're mandatory.  Every good parent has an arsenal of white lies they hit their kids with when the time calls for it.  3,000 seems like a lot, but honestly, I feel like we do it more often than that.  Do they ever grow up?  And even when they are, what we consider grown, do we tell them the absolute truth about everything?  No!

The three biggest fibs we tell our kiddos are...

  • Santa only gives presents to good children
  • Eating spinach makes you strong
  • Sitting in front of the TV for too long ruins your eyes

Other common white lies we tell em'...

  • Don't cross your eyes because they'll stay like that
  • The police will arrest you if you swear

Apparently research also tells us kids stop believing our lies by the time they're about 8.  So you know what that means.  We have a very short time to get in a lot of lies!  Ha!
