Times have definitely changed. The last time I was preparing for the first day of school I was a young 23-year-old jumping into the final semester of my undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University. At that time, my only responsibilities were making sure I made it to class and showing up for my waitressing shift at the Italian restaurant I worked at in downtown San Jose.

Fast forward six years, I have a full-time dream job hanging out with you on #WOW1043, own a home, am married to an amazing man, and have a gorgeous bonus kiddo, and I'm preparing to enter my first semester as a full-time graduate student at Boise State University pursuing an M.A. in Communication. Yeah, my life is way different than the last time I was in an educational setting, but here goes nothing.

I'm nervous but mostly excited to do something I'd convinced myself I would never want to do...go back to school. I mean, how am I going to keep it together, when will I find the time to study, or read (I heard that's the bulk of the work). The answer is, "I have absolutely no idea." But there's one thing about me, no matter what, I don't give up. So it might be tough, and exhausting, but in the end, so rewarding.

So, if you've been thinking of jumping into a scary new chapter in your life, I'm here to tell you, I'm right there with you. Let's encourage each-other to tackle this new journey head-on, with our head on. You can do this! Whether it's going back to school like me, starting a family, a new job, or finally starting that business you've always thought about opening. You've got this!

Now, I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but like Lewis Carroll said, “In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take, the relationships we were afraid to have, and the decisions we waited too long to make.” So, with that being said, I'm here to ask for your help. Have you experienced going back to school full-time with an already loaded schedule? How'd you do it? What tips and advice can you give me as I head into this thing?

I'll keep you posted on my journey, and my hope is, that in two years, I'll be writing about getting ready for another exciting milestone: graduation. Wish me luck, and to you, my friend, take that chance! Oh, and GO BRONCOS!!!
