Weather conditions made driving in Nampa interesting to say the least in the early hours of Sunday morning.  Of the 11 crashes on I-84 that were reported by Idaho State police, two of them involved ISP patrol cars.

The first one took place when a trooper was responding to a non-injury crash shortly after midnight between the Franklin and Black Cat exits.  A minivan slid into the troopers car and then proceeded to hit another car.

Then roughly 30 minutes later, an officer was investigating another crash.  They were stopped on the shoulder of the interstate when a car sideswiped a minivan, hit a guardrail, and then slammed into the back of the trooper's patrol car.  36-year-old Rachel Carter of Caldwell was the driver of the minivan and was arrested on a DUI charge.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
