It has to be one of the worst ways to die and unfortunately for this young man from Weiser his five-point harness left him trapped inside his UTV when it went up in flames.

Steven Groves was riding with another man at the sand dunes near Steck Park on Saturday when the accident happened. The driver of the UTV was able to get his own five-point harness undone before the fire reached him, but Steven was not so lucky.

According to an article on idahonews.com the UTV was overtaken by flames before Steven was able to escape and he suffered third-degree burns over most of his body.

Groves was originally taken to the Weiser Hospital, but he was transferred to a more specialized burn unit in Salt Lake City.

Unfortunately, the burns were just too severe and Steven passed away from his injuries.

23-years-old is far too young to die. Please keep Steven's family and all of those who knew him and loved him in your thoughts and prayers in the many difficult days to come.
