When it comes to drugs, Idaho doesn't mess around. As a matter of fact, Idaho is among the states with the lowest drug use.

A huge reason for that is because of the work our officers put in.

Idaho in the "Top 10"

As we said, Idaho ranks among the lowest for drug use in the country at 44th according to WalletHub. Despite how safe and low drug use is in Idaho, drugs like fentanyl and methamphetamine still present a serious threat to our community.

According to the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, 49% of drug over deaths in Idaho in 2022 involved fentanyl.

We looked through some of the biggest busts in Idaho history and found they not only included drugs but in some cases even illegal weapons. In one particular case, police came across drugs that were disguised as children's candy.

One drug bust even had a street value between $1 million and $2 million.

Even crazier, there was once an instance where Nampa police busted a man trying to sell dope on social media. Not the dark web, nothing with cryptocurrency... this person was doing actual Facebook live promos for those interested in buying drugs and other illegal paraphernalia.
