Yes, businesses are opened up, nightlife is back, and you see a lot fewer masks around the Treasure Valley these days. But how long will this be the case? Things aren't looking great.
Whether or not one is to believe in the impact of COVID-19, there's no overlooking the fact that case numbers are rising. Here in the Treasure Valley, COVID-19 cases are higher than they have been in a very long time and now it is becoming clear that the Delta variant is indeed the prominent strain in our area.

Yes, the football team will still be practicing but what kind of a sign could this news be for the future? With no sign of the Delta variant slowing down at any point in the near future and with Avalos himself indicating that things still aren't "normal", we have to wonder how seriously football will be impacted.
New Athletic Director Jeramiah Dickey has his sights set on SIX sold-out home games. Will a sell out crowd even be allowed? Only time will tell.
