In case you missed it, we recently shared a story with you about our Boise police teaming up with Garden City police to wrangle up some wild cows in the middle of the night. We pointed out that it was a true testament that our officers can do anything... and do an amazing job!

Well, our police put that on full display recently in a much more serious situation.

Boise Police Bomb Squad Saves The Day

First of all, if you're brave enough to join a bomb squad, you're probably not afraid of anything and deserve a ton of respect. It takes a special individual to put their lives on the line in a situation that can literally explode at any moment.

Boise police recently shared in a post that when they were serving a search warrant for a narcotics investigation, they made a dangerous discovery.

" While serving a search warrant on Alfred Court, our Neighborhood Contact Officers uncovered suspected narcotics, drug paraphernalia — and multiple suspected improvised explosive devices," Boise Police shared on Facebook. "Thanks to the quick thinking of our officers, BPD’s Bomb Squad was called out and neighbors were told to shelter in place."

It was then that the bomb squad disposed of the bomb with "counter charges" and disposed of the bombs.

Pretty crazy, right?

Police say there were able to make two arrests in their investigation. Can you imagine how much more trouble these suspects will be in if they're found guilty for all of the drugs and explosives police found? Yikes!
