You read that right - thirteen felonies! Talk about throwing your life away in an instant huh?

Unfortunately, that's the case for a 31-year-old Boise woman who policed and announced they were arrested on Monday afternoon (3/24).

How Does Someone End Up With 13 Felonies?

Trust us, we had to do a double-take as well. According to police, an investigation of multiple vehicle burglaries led them to 31-year-old Tiffani Mathes of Boise.

"The investigation began when officers responded to seven reports of vehicle burglaries on March 18, 2025, and March 19, 2025, in the area of Orchard St. and Targee St.," Boise police said in a press release.

"Multiple items were stolen from the vehicles including victims’ financial transaction cards."

It was then police discovered that the suspect had used two cards belonging to victims at a "local retailer on two occasions." Can you imagine? Like, if you work in retail... this could've happened to you and we don't about you but to us, that's mind-blowing.

Tiffani's Situation Gets Worse

So, not only did the police find that she was using other people's cards, they also made a discovery that will make Tiffani's case much worse.

"During the arrest, officers found Mathes to be in possession of drugs that field tested presumptive positive for controlled substances," police said. "Mathes was booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges."

So, in case you lost count, Tiffani is facing nine felony counts of burglary, two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two more counts of grand theft.

Yikes!

Needless to say, Mathes will likely be spending some time behind bars where she'll hopefully be able to rehabilitate. Shout out to Boise police for once again keeping us safe and taking a bite out of crime.
