Celebrate the First Day of Spring With FREE Ice Cream
Spring doesn't officially arrive in the Treasure Valley until 3:58 a.m. on Wednesday morning, but Mother Nature is giving us a preview of good things to come!
If you haven't looked at the weather app on your Smartphone today, we'll tell you what you're missing. Highs in the mid-60s all week! Based on the "11 Seasons of Idaho" meme making it's way across the social media universe, we think we're in "mud season"...because actual spring arrives on later this week!
Wednesday, March 20 is the first day of Spring and Dairy Queen is celebrating with it's FREE Cone Day! From open until close, most Dairy Queen locations will be giving FREE small vanilla cones to customers who'd like one! No purchase necessary.
FREE Cone Day is one of Dairy Queen's two biggest promotions of the year. Later into the summer, they do a huge fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals called "Miracle Treat Day" where $1 of every blizzard purchased is donated to CMN Hospitals like St. Luke's Children's Hospital.
If you miss out on free ice cream on the first day of spring, your next opportunity to chow down on free ice cream in the Treasure Valley will be April 4. That's when Ben & Jerry's in Downtown Boise will celebrate their FREE Cone Day.
