Yes...Deep Fried Candy Corn Is A Real Thing.

There is nothing natural or healthy about candy corn. Need proof? Well, the ingredients include sugar, corn syrup, confectioner's glaze, and dextrose ... as well as yellow #6 and red #3. Not quite an organic spinach salad there.Considering candy corn is pretty much pure sugar, the only way to make it even less healthy is to deep fry it – which is exactly what one experimental kitchen did. Successfully.

The geniuses at unrolled the dough of Pillsbury Crescents, dropped three or four candy corns in the center, sealed the things up into balls, and  then popped them in the deep-fryer. But they weren’t done. They took the extra step of sprinkling the finished balls of fried dough with powdered sugar.

That’s a heart attack waiting to happen.
