I don't understand what's going on in our beautiful state! Within a span of 24 hours, we had two murder/suicides and another spousal murder all within our Idaho borders. Looks like we have a serious domestic violence problem.

I understand tempers getting heated in relationships. I'm a divorced woman and I'm ashamed to admit both my ex-husband and me have lost our cool before. We've yelled at one another, but I can't wrap my brain around the idea of taking a loved one's life.

One of the murder/suicides happened in Kimberley, Idaho on Thursday, July 5th. In that case, the man was already facing domestic violence charges. He ended up killing his girlfriend and then himself. The other murder/suicide happened right here in Meridian. The couple involved in that situation has just been identified as 46-year-old Daniel Jonathon Cobb and 36-year-old Crystal Dena Wilson. Investigators say Cobb shot Wilson in the head and then turned the gun on himself. Meanwhile, another man fatally shot his wife in southeast Idaho, also on July 5th. If that man is convicted, he faces life in prison or possibly the death penalty according to KTVB.

I cannot stress enough that if you are in an abusive relationship of any kind, get out! There are resources available.  The Idaho Coalition for Sexual and Domestic Violence can help. If your boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse gets controlling, manipulative, puts you down, or ever hits you, please, please, please get help now. This should never happen.
