It's called " The Giving Tree at the Grove Plaza". A locally donated tree is already placed downtown and then we get together to watch it light up with vendors to enjoy and live music. This is a perfect night with family in town too.

Downtown Boise on the 29th from 5-6:30 should be a busy day, especially with Black Friday then small business Saturday I expect the next day to be busy as well.

You will find colored tags around the base of the tree with needed items for the Women's and Children's Alliance shelters, child care center and facilities. You can grab one and drop any items off at the WCA or several Idaho Central Credit Union locations locations by December 21. So not only can you attend for some fun you can help out a great cause.

The one thing to keep in mind is it will be cold on the day after Thanksgiving. The high for the 29th is 29 ...oddly enough. Jokes aside that is below freezing so bundle up. Stop by MCU sports downtown and get some smart-wool socks if needed. Make sure you bundle up but go out and show your support if you can.
