DUI Goes Out To Boise Police Detective
None of us are above the law and I guess the other thing to remember is that we are all human. The Boise Police Department took a hit today when news broke about one of their detectives, 47-year-old Jim Adams has been placed on paid suspension after being caught for drunk driving.
KTVB reports that it was on August 23rd of 2018 when Adams was pulled over by a Canyon County Sheriff's Deputy near Boehner Road and Fargo Road in Wilder just after 10:30 p.m. He was arrested for a D.U.I. and then later released on bail. Adams has been with the Boise Police Department for 16 years. He was placed on suspension immediately after being released from jail when he'd notified his chain of command about what had happened.
Adams says he's not guilty. He's pleaded "Not Guilty" and will face the court of law on October 25th for a pre-trial. The Boise Police Department has opened its own investigation in the matter. We'll keep you posted.
