This Idaho Hike Is Ranked One Of The Best Kid-Friendly Trails In Idaho

I didn't grow up in Idaho, and I don't like to assume anything, but kids start to enjoy nature at a young age with all the attractive opportunities to get outside. So my wife and I moved here in September of last year, and we haven't had the time to explore more of Idaho, but we are planning on it.

We have already saved a bunch of different hiking trails using the AllTrails App on our phone. I discovered that AllTrails has also ranked a hike in Idaho as one of the best kid-friendly in the entire state.  AllTrails.com  describes the trail as a "3.3-mile out-and-back trail near Murray, Idaho. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 41 min to complete. This is a popular trail for camping, fishing, and hiking, but you can still enjoy solitude during quieter times of the day. The best times to visit this trail are July through October. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash."  The Revett Lake Trail might be a bit far from Boise, but the payoff and the views will be worth the drive, and if you're going to Coeur d'Alene, you should make time for this short hike.

Katy Nikolaus, a user of the AllTrails app, left a review of the Revett Lake Trail and had some excellent advice for those choosing to check out this gorgeous hike "The trail was beautiful and so worth it, but PLEASE don't follow your GPS. Follow the directions given here to get there. We were lost for hours in terrible small roads before we found the gorgeous, paved, and wide road that should have taken us to the trailhead."
