When you think of Idaho you most likely don't think of fairytales or kings and queens in big castles. Missive and lavish castles are something other worldly to me. You would have to travel to Ireland or France or some other far away land to see one in person.  The medieval architecture, drawbridges, gargoyles, knights armor, towers, and even secret passages can be found right here in the gem state.

Before we get into the fun real estate castle around the state there are two others worth mentioning. First one is hard to miss if you are in downtown Boise. The Idanha Castle is registered as a Nationally Historic Building and as you can see very much resembles a castle. This historic landmark, complete with ghost stories is now home to apartments, and a donut shop. This was once a fancy hotel, restaurant and piano bar built in 1901. It also housed the states very first elevator (ooo fancy) and for a little while was Boise's tallest building.

The second one that is worth a mention before moving on to the super fun ones is The Knights of Pythias Lodge Hall in Weiser. It was built in 1904 and originally owned and commissioned by The Order of Knights of Pythias. Designed by Boise, Idaho Architectural firm Tourtellotte & Hummel Company. Each stone was transferred to the site and hand cut to fit. In 1982 the building came into ownership of the Weiser Architectural Preservation Committee and remains as a historical monument in the City of Weiser, Idaho.

Now lets look at some other castles in Idaho that people either live in or rent out. These are incredible.
