Facebook Announces Online Dating for Idaho Singles

As a single lady, this move intrigues me. Facebook is adding online dating and it's got some pretty cool perks in my opinion. Here's how it works.

All you have to do is tap the heart icon in the right corner of your profile. What I love is that it only shows your first name to potential suitors and it doesn't show all of your Facebook friends that you are looking for love, only those who are also looking to score a date.

Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg says he wants this to bring people together long-term and it's not meant for random hookups. He also notes that safety and privacy are extremely important.

If you click the heart on the right corner of your profile you will be able to see potential matches and events nearby that match your personal interests. (Which I think is pretty cool because I'd rather meet someone at an "event" than go on a one on one date right off the bat.)

I've been very leery of dating online, but I may just try this out! Guess you'll never know because of the privacy policy. I'll let you know if I find the man of my dreams!
