Two firefighters, one very bad accident, and a hero struggling through pain, surgeries, and broken bones is hanging on to life.

Kent Winward and Matt Henderson were having trouble with their fire truck earlier this week near Airimo, Idaho when a gas can full of gasoline fell off the truck and burst into flames putting the two men in very bad trouble.

Winward was driving and Henderson saw there was no way he was going to make it unless he intervened.  Henderson jumped into action, not only saving Winward's life but minimizing the burns and injuries to his firefighter brother.  Unfortunately Henderson was not so lucky and ended up with third degree burns over 40% of his body.  Henderson also has minor fractures to his neck and back.

Henderson is listed as critical at the University of Utah Intermountain Burn Center in Salt Lake City where he's been in and out of consciousness and in a lot of pain.

Hero's like this sometimes need our help, our love, and Matt Henderson and his family could use that from all of us right now.  They're not asking for it, but I feel it's our responsibility to help this family get through these next few difficult months.  Henderson and his wife will both be out of work for a long time and their entire focus should be on getting this man back on his feet as healthy as possible.  A GoFundMe page has been set up in their honor.  If you can, please give.

I want to thank every firefighter for taking so many risks, most we don't know or think about.  They take them for us.  Matt Henderson, you were there for a brother without hesitation and we can't express our gratitude and thanks enough.  God bless you and your family.  Get well!
