How Young is Too Young for Facebook?!

How young is too young for Facebook? This Mama is stooping to some pretty low levels to protect her child. Who's in the right here?

Charlotte lives in Boise and she sent us this letter.

Dear Rick and Carly,

My husband and I are at odds over our 13 year old daughter joining Facebook. I suggested we create a fake account, pose as a teen, and friend her to keep an eye on her activity and posts. He says this is disrespectful, dishonest, and wrong .He believes we should trust her until she does something wrong. By then it could be too late. Who's right, me or him?
