Heads Up, Idaho! These Eyedrops Are Being Recalled!

Everyone makes mistakes, right? It doesn't matter where you're at, who you are, or what you do. Accidents can happen any time; as they say, that's why they have erasers on pencils!

Unfortunately, mistakes can even happen during the production of products we trust without thinking about it.

A Popular Eyedrop Is Being Voluntarily Recalled

Oh well, that's good news, isn't it? It's not every day we see a company "voluntarily" admit wrongdoing, especially in a recall. Again, it happens, but we don't see it happen very often.

The company AvKare released a recall statement for their line of eyedrops, citing "unknown health hazards." Sounds cryptic, doesn't it?

AvKare says there are five types of eyedrops for consumers to stop using immediately:

• NDC# 50268-043-15 Artificial Tears Ophthalmic Solution
• NDC# 50268-066-15 Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium Ophthalmic Gel 1%
• NDC# 50268-068-15 Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium Ophthalmic Solution
• NDC# 50268-126-15 Lubricant Eye Drops Solution
• NDC# 50268-678-15 Polyvinyl Alcohol Ophthalmic Solution

AvKare says these eyedrops were "first shipped May 26, 2023, until April 21, 2025."

We have to admit, it's somewhat terrifying to think about unknowingly damaging your eyes with a product we don't think twice about using. This is like that movie Final Destination.
