Idaho Fertility Doctor Used His Own Sperm to Impregnate

What in the world?! This is so messed up. This woman started digging into her ancestry and discovered her biological father is allegedly her parents fertility doctor from Idaho Falls!

36 year old Kelli Rowlette wanted to find out more about her heritage, so she went to ancestry.com and found through DNA analysis that a man whose name she had never heard before was her biological father!

When she went to her parents with the name they were stunned by the news, but they knew the name. Dr. Gerald Mortimer with Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Idaho Falls was their fertility doctor.

Everything started back in 1979 when Kelli's parents sought out Dr. Mortimer because of the fertility issues they were having. Dr. Mortimer suggested a procedure where he told them he would use 85% of Kelli's "father's" sperm and 15% donor sperm.

Dr. Mortimer allegedly used his own sperm to impregnate Kelli's mother without her consent. Kelli's parents had told the doctor that the donor sperm had to come from a college student who looked like her father. Now they are finding out that that reportedly didn't happen. He is accused of using his own sperm for nine different inseminations on Kelli's mother.

According to KTVB, Kelli has now filed a lawsuit against the doctor and Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Idaho Falls. So far no charges against Dr. Mortimer have been filed.
