Jerome Police Department shared a video that shows just how precise and focused they have to be in intense situations. In this particular post, they showed an officer attempting to use road spikes to stop a suspect while reminding everyone
"If you ask the Idaho State Police about our spike strip skills, they will tell you we are excellent. And by excellent, they mean in spiking their troopers vehicles," Jerome Police said in their post.
"To be fair, spike strips aren't as easy as they look on TV!"
At first, it appears the spikes caught one of their own vehicles, but Jerome police are reassuring all of us that they got the correct vehicle.
"The interstate is like the final boss of spike strips. BUT!! this one, on I-84, we got it right!!! The suspect stopped a short distance later."
Do you think you could make split-second decisions like this and stay as cool and collected as our officers?
