Of all the slang out there I can't believe this is the most common word used in Idaho!

A new study by slate.com shows the most popular slang word used in each state. First we have Utah, where I was born and raised. It's not surprising that "Oh My Heck!" tops the list. If you've ever even visited Utah or know anyone from Utah you get it. "Oh My Heck!"

Then we have stuff I've never ever heard before. In Florida they apparently use the term "toad-strangler!" That's slang for a "big rain storm!"

In Oregon they call potato wedges "jo-jo's." In New Mexico they refer to a green and red chili mix as "Christmas" and in Minnesota they use the term "Uff da" to show surprise or disgust.

Now let's focus on us. Here in Idaho, the most popular slang word is "Whistle Pig" (a.k.a. a prairie dog!) What?! I haven't heard anyone say they spent the morning chasing whistle pigs in the front yard, but I guess its common, so go get those whistle pigs!!
