Illegal Fireworks: The Numbers

Just how much of a headache did fireworks cause in the Treasure Valley last night?

Between noon on Fourth of July to 6a today, Ada County Sheriff's Office Dispatch received 235 fireworks complaints and 33 reports on grass fires.

In Boise, Police Chief says they received, "21 fire calls yesterday, 17 of them were caused by fireworks and two house fires were caused by fireworks yesterday"

Boise Fire Chief, Dennis Doan, says he wants a 'major overhaul' when it comes to changing illegal fireworks laws in Idaho.
