We've been warned to stay away from the Boise River until the waters slow down and levels get low enough to make the river safe enough to float, but unfortunately, this young man decided to jump in and now a massive search is underway to find him.

The young man from Star was swimming with two other friends near Star Road and Main Street when he didn't resurface. His name and age have not yet been released, but according to an article on KTVB, the search efforts have included a helicopter and a drone.

Part of the rescue efforts have been hampered by the rivers swift current that could put divers at risk.

The City of Star is issuing a warning to the public to stay out of the water. Four people have had to be rescued from the Boise River in the last month.

Please keep in mind that even if you think you are strong enough or gutsy enough to get in the river, if you have to be rescued you are putting the lives of first responders at risk as well.

We certainly hope and pray that this young man and everyone involved in the rescue efforts is okay. We'll keep you updated as this story develops.
