Everyone at The Ambrose School in Meridian are coming together to help one of their own.

The Greater 5K Run/Walk was set up for today to raise money to help pay for the financial burdens 8th grader Paul Drury's family is enduring because of his leukemia.  Paul's friends, fellow students, and their parents are standing by him in this time of need and are going to see him through this.

Paul is heading to Seattle next month to get a bone marrow transplant.  He's already been through countless medications and chemotherapy.  Through all of it, Paul is alive and well.  Inspiring those around them and in turn, those around him are finding ways to inspire Paul.

Today's race was free with donations being accepted to help the Drury family with their medical costs.  Every cent goes straight to the Drury family.
