Nampa Police Respond To Hate Message With Unconditional Love
There are a lot of things going on around the country, and unfortunately, people in some parts of the country view the police as "the bad guy."
Despite that, our officers still step up every single day, put their badge on, and risk their lives to keep us safe.
There Can Be Bad Apples In Any Job
Imagine people hating you for just doing your job. And look, we get it - there are bad apples at every job. For example, there was a time in my life when I worked at a popular Australian-themed steakhouse down in Texas. I worked with a guy who got fired for eating the company's profits behind their back. And it wasn't even a steak or that famous fried onion appetizer.
You know what he got let go for? Eating cheese.

Not even kidding. This guy got busted in the walk-in fridge, eating from this big white tub of shredded cheese that was intended for the salad line and the cheese fries.
And the worst part about it was that he had no remorse. These types of people can work anywhere, even for our police.
The difference for our officers is that their job is literally life and death; definitely not the same as dealing with a customer who is upset their steak was overcooked.
Nampa Police Show Pure Class In Response To Hate
Recently, Nampa police shared a post showing an officer standing in front of graffiti with the words "[CENSORED] the cops."
In this type of situation, it'd be easy for the officer who came across it to be upset or even irritated. But not Nampa PD.
"Love us or hate us, we're here when you need us, Nampa," they said in a Facebook post about the vandalism.
It's a wholesome and genuine response that we should ALL pay close attention to. Especially those around the country who don't realize how much better off and safer we are with the support of our first responders.
