As we continue to slowly transition to "the new normal" we are starting to see more and more openings up and this includes Nampa's outdoor pools!

Lincoln Pool and Lakeview Water park are both scheduled to open on Saturday. The big problem I see is the forecast, which calls for rain and a high of 64 degrees.

Keep in mind that things will look different at the pools this summer. You have to call and schedule a session to attend.

According to an article on idahonews.com, only a limited number of people will be able to come to the pool in 3 two-hour time slots. 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., 2:45 to 4:45 p.m., and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Nampa Parks and Recreation Director, Darrin Johnson, had this to say.

“Our goal is to provide recreational services that will add enjoyment and quality of life opportunities for Nampa families this coming summer. With efforts to minimize the potential spread of the coronavirus, our department will implement several modifications to our typical operations process,”

Enjoy the pool this summer. It's good to see these recreational things start to open back up while also using a lot of extra caution.
